Donna Classi, Family Psycho-Educational/Operations COORDINATOR
Donna joined the HALI team as a volunteer back in 1998, while HALI was located at the old Central Islip Psychiatric Center. Donna wears many hats at HALI. Her jobs include Family Psycho-education Coordinator,Kitchen Manager and Food Pantry Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, and Special Events Planner. Donna is also involved in Program Development.

Donna brought her skills in organization and requesting donations to HALI. She also brought her OCD in cleaning and organization, which was pure gift to HALI! Donna is an amazing person, positive, fun, generous, gentle, truthful and supportive. People at HALI love being with Donna because, she really cares about people and is honest with them. Donna is truly committed to HALI and everything we stand for – she is a definite advocate for everyone here.

Donna started a thrift shop to help people get clothing and help others learn to run the shop – she’s helped create systems to be more cost effective and productive - and she shares anything she has. Donna even lends HALI her home so the work can get done without interruption! It’s our Southern Satellite Office! Donna is mother of three and grandmother to 4. Simply, Donna acts from her heart, and she has a big one!

Donna continues to exemplify and share hope, strength and experience with everyone that walks through the door – An awesome woman to know!
