Hands Across Long Island (HALI) retains sole discretion in accepting contributions, gifts, or grants consistent with its mission. No irrevocable gift compromising the donor’s financial security will be accepted. HALI may refuse or terminate donations for any reason, including non-compliance with Terms or Laws.
HALI refrains from offering tax advice and suggests donors consult professionals. It accepts cash, securities, and in-kind services at its discretion. Certain gifts require review due to potential obligations or liabilities.
Donors receive timely acknowledgments complying with tax regulations. Anonymous donations are respected, and HALI ensures restricted gifts align with donors' intentions. If unspecified, donations support HALI's general charitable purposes.
HALI does not compensate third parties for directing gifts. It employs security measures for data protection but acknowledges internet transmission risks. Terms may be amended without notice and are governed by New York State laws.
Disputes related to the Terms are resolved through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration. By donating, you agree to these Terms.
