Jeremy Reuling, LCSW, NYCPS, CPRP

Jeremy Reuling is a licensed clinical social worker and peer with more than 20 years of experience working to support and empower people facing societal and systemic injustice, including those diagnosed with mental health conditions. As HALI’s Senior Director of Special Projects, he partners with external organizations to optimize peer services across New York State, while internally complimenting HALI’s own peer-led approach with a clinical perspective rooted in recovery principles. Jeremy is a strong advocate for recognizing the intersectionality between clinicians and peer professionals. He is committed to creating systems where this dual identity is normalized, valued, and can be empowering for others.

Jeremy co-authored the nationally circulated Listening to the Peer Workforce – Top Ten Priorities: An Action Agenda and is a frequent speaker at state and national conferences. He has held leadership roles in programs such as OnTrackNY, mobile crisis, and peer-run wellness centers. Roles before HALI include serving as Director of the Yonkers Mobile Crisis Response Team at People USA and as Director of Peer and Recovery Services at MHA of Westchester, where he helped build one of the most comprehensive peer training programs in New York State.

Jeremy holds an MSW from Hunter College and is certified as both a Peer Specialist and Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner. Jeremy also serves on multiple boards and advisory committees, including the Alliance for Rights and Recovery, Hey I’m Here (Ohio), and Utica University’s MSW Program.

In his personal time, Jeremy enjoys playing electric guitar in a 90’s cover band, cooking, fishing (both fly and spin), and spending time with his family and their two very goofy dogs.
