Erin R. Trim, CNAP
Erin R. Trim is a seasoned nonprofit finance executive with over 20 years of experience aligning financial strategy with organizational mission and growth. As Chief Financial Officer at HALI, she leads all fiscal operations including accounting, auditing, budgeting, and treasury, playing a critical role in sustaining the agency’s rapid expansion.
Since joining HALI, Erin has led a full-scale modernization of financial systems, overhauled outdated policies, and built a robust fiscal infrastructure that supports transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability. She has also helped increase funder confidence and strengthened HALI’s position as a trusted provider in the behavioral health space.
Erin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Roosevelt University and is a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) through BDO. Prior to HALI, she held multiple senior leadership roles in community-based organizations, where she drove cross-functional improvements in both finance and human resources.
Originally from Gary, Indiana, Erin now lives in Brooklyn with her family. She is passionate about mentorship and supporting the next generation of nonprofit leaders. Outside of work, she enjoys playing basketball, exploring vegan cuisine across NYC, and discovering new parts of the city with loved ones.
